Washington, DC – HFX today announced that the 13th Halifax International Security Forum will take place November 19-21, 2021 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

The Forum is the preeminent annual gathering of the world’s democratic decision-makers in the political, military, media and business spheres.

“We have every confidence that the world’s democracies will succeed in their endeavors to bring the pandemic under control so we can meet in person in November,” said Peter Van Praagh, President of HFX.

“HFX’s mission to enhance strategic cooperation among the world’s democracies is not only relevant, it is urgent,” Van Praagh added.

HFX is an independent, non-profit, non-partisan organization based in Washington, DC.

The Forum is made possible by the generous support of its partners, including the Government of Canada and Club HFX.

The 12th Halifax International Security Forum took place successfully in hybrid format, November 20-22, 2020.
